
David Santiuste is a historian of late medieval Britain. He is the author of two books: The Hammer of the Scots: Edward I and the Scottish Wars of Independence and Edward IV and the Wars of the Roses. He has written articles and chapters for various other publications, including Medieval Sexuality: A Casebook and Medieval Warfare.
David grew up in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. He went on to study at the University of St Andrews, where he continued with postgraduate research. He is currently a Lecturer in Humanities at the Centre for Open Learning, University of Edinburgh, where he enjoys working with a wide range of students. He is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society.
